Biography
I’m a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh funded by the HDR UK-Turing Wellcome PhD Programme supervised by Prof. Ewen Harrison. I also work closely with Prof. Liantao Ma as an external research advisor at Peking University. Previously, I was a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign supervised by Prof. Jimeng Sun. I am honored to have won the Global Championship of the Citadel PhD Datathon and to be awarded the 2025 Baidu Scholarship, recognizing the top 10 out of all global computer science nominees.
I work on AI for healthcare, including the following areas:
- Medical foundation models – Medical LLMs evaluation, alignment and agent-based applications
- Individual-level healthcare modelling – Clinical predictions with electronic health record (EHR) data
- Population-level epidemiological modelling – Spatio-temporal predictions for public health tasks
- Healthcare toolkits and platforms – Develop packages for Python and R AI4Health communities

- I am honored to receive the 2025 Baidu Scholarship, awarded to the top 10 global CS awardees.
- Our AI-Clinician interaction framework has been accepted to SAIL'25 and has been selected as the Best Abstract, receiving a $4,000 travel award.
